Austin, TX - New legislation titled the Freedom To Vote Act has been introduced today, September 14, 2021, by Senator Amy Klobuchar and other co-sponsors.
Our Vote Texas releases the following statement:
“We are heartened to see the many positive provisions of the Freedom to Vote Act that improve voting access and uphold voter rights protections as well as the provisions that protect the power of our votes from tactics like gerrymandering. Texans know all too well that we can no longer afford inaction from our leadership in Congress. It is time for our lawmakers to step up. The American people deserve a bill that will protect our freedom to vote and realize the promise of democracy for all.”
