Our Vote Texas Joins Others In Urging SCOTUS To Stop Texas' Anti-Content Moderation Law

Our Vote Texas has joined with a diverse coalition of groups including family safety advocates, civil rights organizations, and tech groups in an amicus brief at the Supreme Court to oppose Texas' anti-content moderation law.

HB 20 prohibits social media platforms with more than 50 million users in the U.S. from moderating content on the basis of “viewpoint” but this is not well defined and it takes away the ability for online platforms to meaningfully moderate and remove hateful, abusive or otherwise harmful content and disinformation.

At a time when we are combatting content meant to incite hate and fear as well as harmful misinformation across a wide range of issues sure to negatively impact whole communities, we are proud to join with our colleagues in this coalition brief to urge the Supreme Court to stop this dangerous law.
