OVT Supports Legislation to Advance Safe, Healthy & Inclusive School Climates

Our Vote Texas has joined 90 civil rights and education organizations to call on Congress to advance vital legislation to provide safe, healthy, and inclusive school climates.

The simple truth is this: Our children deserve positive solutions to keep them safe in schools. We’re calling on lawmakers to support bills that will make important improvements to schools to keep children safe and support their educational success.

Specifically, we are urging support for

  • The Counseling Not Criminalization in Schools Act

  • The Keeping All Students Safe Act

  • The Protecting our Students in Schools Act

  • The Safe Schools Improvement Act

  • The Ending Punitive, Unfair, School-based Harm that is Overt and Unresponsive to Trauma (Ending PUSHOUT) Act
