Bring back Texas A&M early-voting location

Today we’re lifting up this call to action from the League of Women Voters of Brazos Valley to re-establish an early voting location for Texas A&M students in Bryan-College Station. See below!

Background

Last year, the Brazos County Commissioners Court voted to remove Texas A&M's only on-campus, early voting location, the Memorial Student Center (MSC), making it significantly harder for TAMU students, faculty, and staff to vote early. Members of the university community as well as voting rights orgs have pushed back on this move ever since.

Tomorrow, the county commissioners court will meet to decide polling locations for the November election cycle and it's so important that students and faculty members as well as other university staff have this early vote location restored.

What we're asking:

Local- If you live in the vicinity of Bryan-College Station, please show up to the hearing tomorrow and be a presence of support for the students and organizers. It's so important to keep up the pressure and to show strong public support for early vote locations that make voting more accessible for Texas students particularly since BCS is not the only place we've seen this kind of maneuver. College communities elsewhere in the state such as Prairie View A&M, St. Edward's in Austin and UNT in Dallas have also been subjected to similar scenarios.

NOT Local- Here are some helpful links shared with us by the League of Women Voters of Brazos County:
