HB 6 And SB 7 Are Destructive Bills For Texas Voting

Texas Progressive Action Network joined 62 other civil rights organizations led up by Texas Civil Rights Project today on joint statements outlining the dangerous sections of HB 6 and SB 7, two omnibus voter suppression bills that hurt Texas voters and election workers.

While supporters of these two bills have tried to make the argument that anyone calling these bills out for what they are (voter suppression) is misinformed or simply hasn’t read the legislation, the harm that these bills would inflict is laid bare here.
