Message To DOJ: Protect Voters From White Supremacy And Voter Intimidation

Today Texas Progressive Action Network joined The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and 56 other organizations in urging the DOJ to protect voters and all people in the U.S. from the threat of white supremacists and voter intimidation this election cycle.

As voting and civil rights organizations, we know the immense harm that white supremacy groups can and do inflict on the people they target on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and disability.

We also have come to understand that in light of the political climate surrounding us all as we head into this election, such groups may feel emboldened to perpetrate acts that harm people, whether they be voters or not.
